You get a two-seater set, with a table and two high-backed chairs, all in faux rattan, with water-resistant cushions that feel as practical as they are decorative.

The water-resistant cushions are great, especially when a sunny morning turns into a damp afternoon, as it so often does.

Early reviews are all five stars, although it’s the comments that do most of the convincing.

One shopper called it “beautiful” and said it gives “a holiday bar vibe type of feeling,” though he did note the price felt a little steep at full whack, which is why buying it now is smart.

Another shopper commented: ”found it easy to assemble” and “very comfy.”

At £174.30, it undercuts plenty of rival rattan-effect sets, and the £74.70 saving is genuine, as Dunelm’s price history shows, it has been £249 since last July.

The cushions wipe clean, the frame is mostly steel, and the compact footprint feels ideal for a balcony or a small patio.

If your outdoor space is a more modest plot than a country garden, this is the kind of buy that earns its keep.
