THIS is the moment rock legend Eric Clapton was smacked by a flying vinyl at a concert.
Video footage from inside the Movistar Arena in Madrid on May 7 shows a record being thrown from the crowd and hitting the musician.

Eric Clapton cut his performance in Madrid short after a vinyl was thrown at him from the audience
The record hit the musician in the chest during the performance on May 7
After being struck in the chest, the 81-year-old walked off the stage before performing his encore.
Clapton had just finished performing the iconic song “Cocaine” at the arena and was moving around the stage.
Footage of the live performance shows an orange vinyl cover being thrown from the crowd towards Clapton.
The record hits the musician as he jumps in shock from the incident.

He then continues to walk across the stage before cancelling the final song of the night, “Before You Accuse Me”.
Clapton did not appear to be injured and continued his tour in Barcelona three nights later.
The incident happened during the icon’s 2026 tour across Europe and the US.
He will be performing in the UK in Sandringham on August 23.
Clapton is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter.
He is regarded as one of the most successful and influential guitarists in rock music.
He was ranked second in Rolling Stone’s list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” and fourth in Gibson’s “Top 50 Guitarists of All Time”.
However the musician has also made headlines beyond his musical skills.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Clapton and Van Morrison collaborated on an anti-mask, anti-lockdown single entitled “Stand and Deliver”.
He released another single called “This Has Gotta Stop”, which protested against lockdowns, vaccinations, and the erosion of civil liberties.
In addition to the Covid lockdowns, Clapton has also been vocal about the Gaza war, releasing a song called “Voice of a Child”.
The song featured a video showcasing images of the Gaza strip destroyed.
