Last year, fan favourite Karen and her pro dance partner Carlos won the show in an exciting final.
Carlos said at the time: “I can’t believe it, thank you so much.
“You have taught me so much, we are completely different characters, but we challenge each other and support each other.”
Fighting back tears Karen — who had been the bookies’ favourite to win — said: “I cannot believe it, I just want to say thank you.
“It’s been the a privilege and honour. Literally I’m lost for words I am so sorry.”
The result came after Queen Camilla celebrated Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman’s “final twirl” in a special message.
