It’s alleged that the pair met on Instagram before the woman was invited to Hakimi’s house weeks later.
Public prosecutors began an investigation in March 2023 and a judge ordered a trial in February this year.
And that will now go ahead after Hakimi’s appeal to have the trial dismissed failed.
And with the news the backdrop to Morocco’s clash with Scotland at the World Cup tonight in Boston, the Tartan Army subjected him to a barrage of boos every time he touched the ball throughout the Group C clash.
It was obvious to watching fans, with one writing on X: “Am I dreaming or are the Scottish fans not stopping with the “boo”s at Achraf Hakimi?”
A second said: “Hakimi telling the fans to cheer and they boo him louder instead.”
A third wrote: “They boo Hakimi every single time he touches the ball.”
A Court of Appeal has instead ruled that the PSG star must stand trial.
While no date has yet been set with regards to when proceedings will get underway, it’s expected to be after Morocco’s campaign at the World Cup has concluded.

Hakimi has denied the allegations against him. He’s currently on bail, having previously been charged in February 2023.
He was previously placed under judicial supervision and handed a restraining order barring him from contacting the alleged victim.
After the latest ruling was confirmed, Hakimi took to social media with a statement.
The PSG star posted on X: “The justice system looked me in the eye and said, ‘If you weren’t famous, there would never have been a case.
“I chose to remain silent for years. I believed that maintaining my dignity, being patient, and trusting in the justice system would allow the right decisions to be made.

“Today, a story that isn’t mine is being told at the expense of my family, my life, and above all, the truth. I sometimes feel like I’ve become an easy target.
“I’ve been waiting for this trial since day one. And now I’m eagerly awaiting it. Finally, I’ll be able to speak.”
A lawyer representing the alleged victim in the case said: “After more than three years of legal proceedings, and after my client was, in her view, defamed and dragged through the mud by Achraf Hakimi’s defence, this decision brings her relief and hope.
“Relief that she has been heard by the justice system and will have the right to a trial.
“Hope that this trial will help other women and further weaken the wall of denial and impunity surrounding sexual violence, including in the world of men‘s football.”
