A MAN has been arrested at an airport after a stabbing in the city centre.
Emergency services were called to the scene following reports of an incident at around 12.50pm today on Church Street in Manchester.

Cops arrested the suspect at Manchester Airport this evening.
Police found a 19-year-old victim with injuries “consistent with a stabbing”.

He was rushed to hospital with “life-threatening” injuries but is now in a stable condition, Greater Manchester Police reported.
Cops cordoned off a large stretch of the street in the Northern Quarter this afternoon, with blockades extending to other connecting streets.
The suspect, who is in his early 20s, was located three hours after the incident and arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault.
