A TEENAGE swimmer who tragically drowned just 11 minutes after the lifeguards finished for the day has been pictured.
The boy, named locally as Abdi Suber, 13, was swept out to sea while playing with his friends just off Hornsea in East Yorkshire on Tuesday.

HM Coastguard were first on the scene following reports he had vanished at 6.11pm, just 11 minutes after the lifeguards had finished up.
The emergency services then scoured the coast before a body was pulled from the water in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

He has been named locally as Abdi Suber and tributes have been paid to the “lovely, lovely lad”.
Hundreds of fellow pupils wandered into the road outside the school and released scores of balloons.

The send off organised by the pupils, was to show love and condolence to Abdi.
A tribute to Abdi, whose family are said to be originally from Africa, has also been set up inside the school gates.
One of his teachers said: “I work in the geography department. It is very sad.”
They continued: “I am sure something else will be going up. He has been here a while. He was a lovely, lovely lad. A really nice kid.
“It is a shame these things happen.”
Another parent said: “The boy who passed away, my daughter is in his sister’s class.
“I think it was lovely. It is a massive thing to come and pay their respects. He is from Africa.
“His sister is in year five. She is crying for her brother. You are never ready for anything like this.
“Most of it has been done by the kids who organised it.”
A former school mate said: “It went all right. It was a good send-off. I was in year 11 when he was in year seven.
“We had to help the year sevens now and again. He was a nice lad.”
The sea was said to be “rough and windy” on Tuesday evening.
A female eyewitness said: “The coastguards came flying down. I remember checking the time because I thought the lifeguards are still here.
“But it was 11 minutes past six and they knock off at six. The lifeguards had only just left. It was only just after they had clocked off unfortunately.”
She added: “There were four out in the sea, and three were rescued. I think he must have swept this way because they came further up.
“It was pretty rough seas and windy. The air ambulance landed on a field nearby. I don’t think they were surfing,
“They were just in the sea because they were very young, We saw them when they came up. They were just playing in the sea.”
Another male eyewitness said: “They shut down the seafront. There were a load of ambulances and the police came down.
“The helicopter was going up and down all night. They sent a coastguard plane down later on.”
Enquiries are ongoing to piece together exactly what happened.
