HIT psychological thriller The Crow Girl has come to Channel 5 for the first time, allowing new viewers to catch up on Season 1 just as the second run hits streaming service Paramount Plus.

Adapted from Erik Axl Jattvibed’s international best-selling crime novel, the dark drama follows a police team and an expert psychotherapist as they unravel a web of historic abuse and unsolved murders.

Kilburn is a relentless investigator who stops at nothing to uncover the truth behind a series of unsettling crimes.

Myles is known for her role as Gwen Cooper in Torchwood and Doctor Who.

She also made waves leading BBC‘s hit drama Keeping Faith and appearing in Apple TV+’s thriller Hijack.

Eminent psychotherapist Dr Sophia Craven is played by former Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly.

In the drama, Dr Craven joins forces with DCI Kilburn after a prime suspect’s psychological profile becomes crucial to solving the investigation.

Kelly became a household name playing Becky McDonald on the cobbles.

She has also starred in dramas such as Happy Valley, Innocent, Mr Selfridge, Liar, and The Night Manager.

Where was The Crow Girl shot?

While Erik Axl Jattvibed’s original novel was set in Stockholm, the screen adaptation relocates the action to Bristol.

Filming took place over 12 weeks across several recognisable locations throughout the city and surrounding areas.

The fictional ‘Bristol Metropolitan Police‘ headquarters was constructed inside the former Bank of England building on Wine Street in central Bristol.

Outdoor scenes were filmed in public spaces including Castle Park, Queen Square, Welsh Back, and Princes Wharf along Bristol Harbourside.

The production used real local venues, including The Gold Bar on Corn Street, the Jattvibeshine Cafe on Bedminster’s East Street, and The Royal Hotel on Gloucester Road.

Key sequences were also shot at Greenbank Cemetery in Easton, alongside coastal filming at Brean Down and Brean Beach in Somerset.
