A THIS Morning star has admitted she’s “struggling” and facing early menopause after undergoing cancer treatment following the return of the cruel disease.
The 46-year-old GP and author revealed back in March that she had endured a hysterectomy.

But now, Dr Philippa Kaye has given fans an emotional update on her condition as she took to Instagram.
The telly star confessed that it’s been “hard” seeing the toll cancer has taken on her body.

She shared a slideshow of snaps, documenting all the things she’s noticed after receiving treatment.
Putting on a brace face, she uploaded the first selfie with the caption, “I am struggling…”

Dr Philippa then shared a beautiful picture of her all dressed up. She wrote in text across it: “With the changes to my body from cancer.”
On the next slide, she showed off the scar down her stomach from her surgery.
“It isn’t the scars. Those are the tattoos of my battles. They tell the story of how resilient my body can be,” she said.
In another teary-eyed snap, Dr Philippa admitted: “It is the other changes. From the premature menopause from treatment and now my ovaries have been surgically removed.

“Despite being on HRT there are charts (hormone replacement therapy).”
Continuing to be fearlessly candid about her battle, she said: “My hair is thinner. My skin changed with more wrinkles and dark marks.
“My body is softer despite exercise. I see the changes everywhere.”
Rounding off her post, Dr Philippa shared a glam picture with the words, “I’m grateful to be here,” written across it.
She added: “My body doesn’t work as before and now it doesn’t seem to look as before. I know it is vain but sometimes I wanna look in the mirror and see the person I was before… sometimes.”
The ITV star captioned the raw reveal: “I am very aware this is a superficial post.
“I am also incredibly grateful for all my tremendous and how my body works for me. But sometimes it is hard not to look down and notice all the changes I see.”
Myleene Klass wrote in the comments: “Thank you for sharing your immense vulnerability and strength therein. You’re one amazing human.”

It was announced Dr Philippa was having surgery in January, but she opted not to reveal her health diagnosis at the time.
She shared a video in which she wore a hospital gown and showed herself getting ready for the operation.
This comes after she was diagnosed with stage two bowel cancer aged 39 and underwent treatment at the time.
This included six months of chemotherapy and a 12-hour surgery to remove the final cancer lesion.
In October 2020, she revealed live on-air that she had been given the all-clear.
