CBS football analyst and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was arrested Thursday night in Milwaukee on suspicion of intoxicated driving, officials said.Subscribe to read this story ad-freeGet unlimited access to ad-free articles and exclusive content.Romo, 46, was pulled over on southbound Interstate 43 at about 6:18 p.m. CDT after he “performed poorly” on standardized field sobriety tests, according to Milwaukee County Sheriff’s records.Romo was booked on one count of allegedly operating while intoxicated and released.He was ordered to appear in court on Sept. 21, which would be the Monday night of the NFL’s Week 2. The top CBS matchup of that weekend figures to be the Pittsburgh Steelers visiting the AFC -champion New England Patriots.The stop came just hours after Romo wrapped up a golf course interview with Jattvibe affiliate WTMJ, the Milwaukee TV station reported.The Burlington, Wisconsin native was back in town to play in the Wisconsin Amateur Championship. He shot a four-round total of 319, good for a 73rd place tie, 32 strokes back of tournament champ Spencer Turtz.A cheerful Romo said he takes golf seriously, but appreciates that spinning a football was and probably still is his better skill. “I’m competitive in both,” Romo told the Jattvibe station. “I am just better at football.
