And the Nerazzurri are praying Spurs go down so they can nab Vicario on the cheap.
A deal would still need to be reached between the two clubs but Vicario and his agents have approved everything on the player side, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
That means there will be no hold-ups over contract length or wages when things move forward.
Vicario is ‘ready to return’ to Serie A after three seasons and over 100 games in English football.

European giants ‘make contact with Tottenham captain Cristian Romero’
And Tottenham will be powerless to keep hold of him – or demand a big transfer fee – if they drop into the Championship.
Roberto De Zerbi‘s side are two points from safety with four games to play.
Inter’s fortunes could hardly be more different as they sit 10 points clear at the top of Serie A – on course to clinch their second title in three seasons.
Tottenham paid £17million to sign Vicario from Empoli in 2023 and he has two years left on his contract.

European giants are positioning themselves to pounce on Tottenham’s top talent if they finish in the bottom three.
Barcelona have reportedly sounded out a move for Cristian Romero as a cheaper alternative to Inter’s Alessandro Bastoni.
Others could push for exits themselves due to relegation clauses automatically slashing their wages in half if they go down.
