THOMAS TUCHEL has revealed his frustration at Tino Livramento’s injury which has wrecked his World Cup dream.
The Newcastle defender has returned home with a hamstring injury and been replaced by Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah.

And Tuchel has revealed this means former Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah is in the squad purely as a right-back.
Tuchel, speaking at the pre-match press conference here in Dallas, said: “Tino was of course very disappointed and very sad.
“It was in training when he stopped and straight away had an injury which would cost him the tournament.
“We got the information it is four or five weeks which is unfortunately too long to keep on rebuilding and reintegrating so we took the decision to send him home so he was disappointed and so were we.

“He is a good player and was in good shape and was available.”
Explaining his decision to call-up Chalobah, Tuchel said: “We called up Trevoh Chalobah so we free up Jarell Quansah as a full-back as Djed Spence plays both sides so Chalobah comes in at central defence to give us full coverage.”
Asked about his message to England fans, Tuchel said: “No message to the nation. I hope they enjoy the match and can see what I have seen the last 16 days.
“A brilliant effort and I hope we can express that and that they can be proud of us. Personally, I am very excited.”

Chalobah’s inclusion was another massive kick in the teeth for Real Madrid right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who would have been a natural replacement for Livramento.
It also means that the former Liverpool star’s hopes of returning to the squad under Tuchel look extremely unlikely.
