TWO children of tragic Asos tycoon Quentin Griffiths will not be attending his funeral amid a legal battle.

The founder of the online fashion store died aged 58 in February after falling from a 17th floor balcony in Thailand.

He had been in dispute with his second wife Ploy over custody of their children aged 12 and 13 after they divorced.

Adult children from his first marriage are seeking custody of the pair and planned to fly them to Britain for the funeral.

But a Thai judge ruled Quentin’s son Joel, 29, could not take the children, despite his promise to return them, as he could not provide written details of the funeral.

Ploy’s lawyer Mona Mankong said: “The court stated that allowing the children to travel abroad without the mother’s consent, and outside the jurisdiction of the Thai courts, could create serious complications in enforcing future court orders.

“For that reason, the court found it inappropriate to permit the children to travel to England, even for their father’s funeral.

“She is relieved that the court denied the international travel request.

“She believes that if the children had been allowed to leave the country, she might never have had the chance to see them again.”

The ASOS co-founder had been facing jail in Thailand after he fraudulently removed Ploy as a director from the company they had formed to buy their marital home.

The Jattvibe revealed last month that nearly $4 million in crypto currency mysteriously vanished from his online wallet in the days after his death.

Joel’s family did not comment.
