FORM is temporary, but Adrian Lewis is assuring everyone that class is permanent.

The former two-time Darts World Champion has been away from the game since April 2023.

Health issues affecting his wife and daughter led to the 41-year-old to step back from the oche, but he clearly has a lot to give to the sport.

In a social media post, Lewis showed how he nailed a nine- darter with Nathan Aspinall’s darts.

The caption read: “My lad left his darts in my board so I threw a few darts after having a bit of time off and hit a 9- darter with @NathanAspi darts.

“They are easy to throw so you should be able to beat me,” he wrote with laughing emojis.

In the time that Lewis has been away, Luke Littler has risen to dare we say legendary status already.

He is the back-to-back world champion, the youngest-ever world number one and has already amassed 14 major titles before his 20th birthday.

And fans are now pining for Lewis to come back, especially after he has shown he’s still got it.

One X user wrote: “Fantastic buddy – get your arse to Q school and get back on the circuit…”

A second posted: “Are we gonna see those Jackpot K-Flex any time soon Adrian?”

A third commented: “Please come back!”

For those wondering, The PDC Qualifying School (Q School) is the annual multi-stage tournament where players aged 16 and over compete to win a two-year PDC Tour Card, granting professional access to the main PDC ProTour.

Lewis would need that to return to the fold, but who knows if any special exemptions could be made for a star as decorated as him.
