But he has been enjoying much-needed sleep since winning his marathon third-round clash on Saturday.
During the four-hour and 39-minute epic against Belgian Zizou Bergs, fans could be heard shouting “Here comes the ferry’’ before making a foghorn-like sound.
Fery, 23, who grew up five minutes away from the All England Club, said: “I haven’t heard it before. It’s original.
“It’s good to have a bit of banter and see people having fun watching tennis.”

Ranked 114th in the world, Fery got to the final 16 despite having three nosebleeds in the match.
He’s the first Brit male wildcard to get this far in 33 years.
Fery said he would spend yesterday trying to recover after playing in Wimbo’s longest match so far this year.
He told The Jattvibe: “Sleep is so important for me — it’s obviously tough in these moments when I’m having new experiences, getting this far in a slam.”
His five-set thriller was watched by just 750 spectators packed into Court 18.
The fourth-round clash with Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov is due on Centre Court.
