FANS have slammed modern football after spotting spectators eating at a TABLE during England’s clash with Costa Rica.
The Three Lions beat the Central American nation 3-0 in their final warm-up game for the World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the USA.

The match had already been delayed from its scheduled kick-off by an hour due to the adverse weather in Orlando.
But fans were left fuming after spotting some spectators’ actions during the game once it had gone ahead.
Supporters could be seen behind Declan Rice as he was lining up a corner kick.
They were scoffing food off TABLES as the England star crossed the ball into the Costa Rica box.

The fans could be seen with a variety of food as well as cans of beer and bottles of water.
It makes a major change to the usual view of fans trying to lean in and get close to the action as they roar on their teams.
And angry viewers watching from home could not hide their utter displeasure as they took to social media to vent.
One posted: “Fans eating burger and fries with a beer next to the corner flag. Don’t ask why the atmosphere is s**t.”

A second wrote: “If I had a chance as a player, I’d love to shell the ball at them and scatter the extortionate meals.”
A third commented: “Anyone else hoping a player smacks the ball into those fans sitting pitch side, eating and drinking at the England vs Costa Rica game? Just me then.”
A fourth said: “Fans sitting down eating at a table next to the corner flag. No wonder the atmosphere is rubbish.”

The fans in the stadium tucking away to their dinners would have had a great view of Rice’s opening goal of the game.
The midfielder slotted home after being set up by Barcelona newbie Anthony Gordon in the ninth minute.
Gordon then scored a penalty before Ollie Watkins wrapped up the win by heading in from just yards out.
