ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਕੇਵਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਨੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ‘ਆਪ’ ਵਿਧਾਇਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਗਤ ਜੋਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ (ਸੋਧ) ਐਕਟ, 2026 ਨੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੀ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਦੇਣ ‘ਤੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ। ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਖੁਦ ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਏ, ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਿਤ ਸਨ। ਮਾਨ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਵੀ ਸਨ। By not appearing in this crucial matter concerning Sikh sentiments, Dhillon said, Mann had once again attempted to disrespect the Takht.“No CM or politician can be greater than Takht Sahib. Bhagwant Mann should learn from Sikh history and, instead of creating direct confrontation with the supreme institution, should immediately appear before it and accept his mistake; otherwise, the people of Punjab will never forgive him,”
