Calls about the crash began coming in just before 4 p.m., police said.Only two people were on the Piper PA-28 aircraft that crashed, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The National Transportation Safety Board will lead the investigation into the incident, according to the FAA. The home caught fire following the crash, the Akron Fire Department said in a statement. Videos posted online showed the home’s garage engulfed in flames while sirens sounded in the background.A small portion of the plane’s tail could be seen in the home’s driveway.The plane departed from the Akron Fulton Regional Airport, which is about three miles east of the crash site, Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
