However, it was axed once again, with the final ever episode airing on the streaming platform in December.
Now UK fans can rejoice as the legendary soap will be back on our television screens soon.
Classic episodes will air after UKTV secured the exclusive rights to the early back catalogue of the show.
The agreement with Fremantle includes the first 420 episodes, taking fans to the very beginning of Neighbours in 1985.

In an emotional final episode the residents of Ramsay Street were seen waving goodbye to the famous cul-de-sac.
Similar to the previous “final ending” in 2022, the residents of Ramsay Street were faced with losing their homes.
This time it was because a planned a new highway was going to be built through a neighbouring suburb, resulting in the demolition of houses along its route – including Ramsay Street.
Fans were left emotional at the final scene which saw Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) stand in her beloved street, contemplating what was next for her and husband Karl (Alan Fletcher).
Voices from past Ramsay Street residents such as Helen, Madge and Harold were heard echoing in the background.
Susan was then joined by Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) and Karl for some final words before they leave the street for good.
