Marquinhos consoled Gabriel after his heartbreaking Arsenal penalty miss
After Eberechi Eze missed in the shootout and Nuno Mendes saw his effort saved by David Raya, it fell to Gabriel to keep Arsenal in it at 5-4 to PSG.
But his powerful strike flew over the crossbar, confirming back-to-back European crowns for PSG and prolonging Arsenal’s waiting for a Champions League trophy.
Within seconds of his costly miss, Gabriel was consoled by fellow Brazilian Marquinhos.
The pair were spotted embracing, with PSG captain Maquinhos presumably sharing words of encouragement with his international team-mate.
