In order to mark National Doughnut Day on Friday, June 5, Krispy Kreme will treat customers to a doughnut free of charge.

The iconic American eatery has 26,000 to give away, with every single one of its 120 UK stores participating in the deal.

The generous offer will operate on a first-come first-served basis.

Krispy Kreme fans can nab an Original Glazed Doughut, usually priced at around £2.90, for absolutely nothing.

But those wanting to benefit from the giveaway will need to act fast. Once the freebies run out, that’s it.

Customers are advised to arrive early for the best luck as queues are expected. You don’t need a voucher, to download an app or purchase any Krispy Kreme items to get the deal.

However, if you do miss out on your free doughnut, Krispy Kreme will be selling half-priced boxes of the Original Glazed dozens all-day.

Usually priced at £14.99, the boxes will cost £7.49 on the day. So you would be paying 62p per doughnut.

All 120 Krispy Kreme stores across the UK and Northern Ireland will be participating in the giveaway.

However, it’s worth noting that the offer is only available in Krispy Kreme stores and does not include self-service kiosks found in supermarkets such as Sainsbury’s.

Customers can search for participating chains near where they live by using Krispy Kreme’s store locator.
