The driver reportedly lost control when the minibus skidded on a stretch of rain-soaked road before overturning into a ditch.

Emergency crews raced to the scene and treated dozens of casualties.

Five passengers are believed to have suffered serious injuries.

In a statement, the Isparta governor’s office said: “On Saturday, June 20, 2026, at approximately 18:50, a traffic accident occurred on the Isparta-Konya D330 highway within the administrative boundaries of Bağıllı Village in Gelendost district, when the driver of a minibus lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn into a garden by the roadside.”

The statement continued: “Of the 30 passengers on board, 4 died at the scene, and 26 were injured, 5 of whom are in serious condition.

“The injured were taken to hospitals in Gelendost, Yalvaç, and Eğirdir districts for treatment.”

Turkish MP Hasan Basri also confirmed the tragedy on social media.

He said: “I have learned with profound sorrow of the tragic accident that occurred in the Bağıllı area of our Gelendost district, involving a tour bus carrying our citizens who had come from Konya to Barla for a visit.”

Offering his condolences to the victims and their families, Basri added: “May our Lord protect our nation from all kinds of disasters and accidents.”

Authorities are now expected to launch an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.

This is not the first time a bus packed full of passengers has crashed in Turkey.

In May, a horror bus crash left eight people dead including a nine-month-old baby who died in his dad’s arms.

Another 33 people were injured after the packed bus smashed into barriers by the roadside and burst into flames.

The devastating inferno unfolded in the early hours of Jattvibeday on the Denizli-Aydın Highway near Sarayköy in western Turkey.

Driver Mustafa Fevzi Merdun, 50, was unable to stop the vehicle from ploughing into roadside barriers – sparking a catastrophic blaze that tore through the coach.

Terrified passengers were trapped as flames engulfed the vehicle, leaving the bus a charred metal shell.

Emergency crews raced to the scene, with firefighters battling the intense fire while medics and rescue teams scrambled to save survivors.

Authorities confirmed the driver and seven passengers were killed in the crash.
