The BJP has announced plans to stage a major show of strength at the annual Rakharpunya Jor Mela at Baba Bakala in Amritsar on August 28. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will address the gathering, marking the first time the BJP will set up its own political stage at the historic Sikh fair.Confirming the development, Amritsar BJP president Salil Kapoor said the party was preparing for a significant political event in the Majha region as part of its campaign for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
