The 19-year-old made a strong start to the tournament, playing with an aggressive approach and his ability to score quickly. With Amsterdam heading into a crucial semi-final, Steve Smith believes Samra has the ability to make a telling contribution when he finds his rhythm.Speaking about his opening partner ahead of the semi-final clash, Smith said, “Samra’s extremely talented and hits the ball hard. He started the tournament off really well for us in Amsterdam, and he’s 19, so he’s got plenty of time left in the game. He’s obviously really aggressive and goes after it, and when he gets going, he’s tricky to stop. So hopefully we can see some more of those fireworks in the finals.”Steve Smith also spoke about the emerging talent in Europe, “My door is always open to the boys; there’re some really talented players in the squad. I’ve been particularly impressed with Bas de Leede – he’s been sensational.
