Proposals for the new site in Ellesmere, Shropshire, include a 128-space car park as well as a link road branching off Scotland Street (A495).
While this new road has already received planning permission, Aldi is currently holding a virtual public consultation to gather community feedback on the updated proposals.
It follows the previous consultation period held in early 2023, which saw 89 per cent of the 900 respondants support the development, estimated to cost £7million.
The nearest Aldi stores are currently located in Oswestry and Whitchurch, both of which serve separate catchment areas.

Meanwhile, the Ellesmere area has limited discount retail options for local residents.
If approved, the new Aldi store is expected to create 40 new, full-time jobs, with hiring targeted at the local community.
Stephen Jones, real estate manager for Aldi, said: “We’re delighted to announce our plans for a new food store at this site in Ellesmere.
“Having previously had such a positive response to our proposals for Ellesmere, we’re excited to be presenting them once again, following productive discussions with planning officers.
“We’d like to encourage everyone in the local area to let us know what they think about our plans and look forward to working with residents and stakeholders to deliver a new Aldi food store for the area.”

Following the consultation period, Aldi aims to submit a formal planning application to Shropshire Council in the coming months.
