AN AUSTRALIAN ISIS bride has been accused of helping her father buy a £7,500 teenage sex slave for the purpose of raping.

Zeinab Ahmad, 31, allegedly shared a room with the 15-year-old girl who was repeatedly assaulted and raped by her sick father.

The father Mohammed allegedly told the girl: “I bought you for the purpose of raping and at the same time serving the home.”

To his family, he is reported to have said: “I bought her for sex and to do housework.”

He bought the teen as a slave with his wife in Raqqa, the capital of ISIS-controlled Syria, police told the court.

The sex slave – who said she was 15 at the time – was brought back to the family home which the parents shared with their five daughters.

Daughter Zeinab witnessed her father hit the girl and drag her by the hair down two flights of stairs, police alleged.

The girl – who cannot be named – was beaten two or three times a month while the family watched on, they added.

In an interview with the police, the girl said that Mohammed sexually assaulted her “many times”.

She said Zeinab “did not physically hurt her, although she did threaten her very badly and ordered her to do things around the house”, recounted Detective Clendenning.

Now the 31-year-old is charged with two counts of slavery – but asked to be released on bail in Melbourne magistrates’ court on Thursday.

She and her mother were among a group of ISIS brides arrested last month when they returned to Australia from Syria.

Ahmad is alleged to have been one of the women who travelled to Syria from Sydney in 2015 – alongside her mother, Kawsar Ahmad, and father, Mohammed Ahmad.

She is accused of helping her family to enslave a Yazidi girl – a member of the Kurdish ethnic minority which lives in Syria.

Sixteen months after Mohammed had bought the Yazidi girl he sold her again for £7,500, telling her she was “bad” and did not follow orders, according to police.

The trafficked girl said she was one of more than 6,800 Yazidi women and children who have been enslaved and repeatedly raped by members of ISIS.

The sex slave repeatedly raped by Mohammed told police she had been sold to 17 different members of ISIS across five years before she was finally freed by Kurdish forces in 2019.

Now, the woman who helped sell a teenage girl into sex slavery has appealed for bail.

The courts denied her request after Detective Clendenning pointed out that Zeinab Ahmad had been married to multiple members of ISIS and was still the wife of an ISIS member – who is currently being searched for by police.

“The accused has never explicitly renounced or stated that she no longer supports Islamic State since her surrender to Kurdish forces”, he added.

She is charged with two crimes against humanity: enslavement and use of a slave.

Her mother Kawsar is charged with four crimes against humanity.

Each holds a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison.

The two-day hearing continues on Friday.
