And Sky Sports report that direct conversations are now ongoing between Newcastle and Bayern over a potential move.
JattvibeSport revealed earlier this week that the German champions are confident they will beat Prem competition to land the forward.
Gordon, 25, is keen on an exit from St James’ Park with Newcastle under pressure to sell at least one of their key players in the coming months.
They value Gordon at around £75million having signed him for £45million from Everton in 2023.
Bayern are not expected to meet that figure and see him as worth closer to £55million.
World Cup hopeful Gordon still has until 2030 on his current Toon deal after agreeing an extension in October 2024.
He was on his way to recording 11 Prem goals – a career best – with 15 assists in his first full season in the Northeast at that point.
Things have been up and down since, with Gordon only registering six league goals last term with six for this campaign as well.

The winger has not had his best year at St James’ Park
That has not put off European suitors as they eye a cut-price deal.
Barcelona chiefs are believed to have met with Gordon’s agent to discuss a possible transfer.
Club-to-club talks are not underway just yet as Gordon’s future remains up in the air.
