The family of businessman Sandeep Kumar (32), alias Sonu Bansal, a resident of Nai Basti here, who died two days ago, has still not given consent for a post-mortem examination. Sandeep had allegedly died by suicide after consuming poison. His body is kept at the local Civil Hospital.The deceased allegedly left behind a suicide note and a video in which he accused a DSP, a judicial magistrate’s reader, her husband, and an advocate of harassment and extortion in connection with a financial dispute.The police has registered a case and booked three individuals, reader Renu Bala, her husband Raman Jain and advocate Charanpal Singh Brar, on abetment-to-suicide charge. Renu and Raman were arrested on Saturday.Sources said police officials were trying to convince the family to give consent for the post-mortem examination. The issue is likely to be resolved on Monday. The Beopar Mandal and the BJP have, meanwhile, extended support to the bereaved family.
