CAPE VERDE star Vozinha is set for a massive transfer U-turn by snubbing a famous club that already announced his arrival.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper made headlines this summer by leading his underdog country to an historic campaign that saw them picking up famous draws against world champions Spain, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia.

The keeper’s incredible saves led Cape Verde to the play-offs of their first World Cup appearance and came close to stunning Argentina at extra-time before falling heroically in a 3-2 defeat.

Vozinha’s stunning displays between the sticks earned him a place in the World Cup’s team of the tournament alongside superstars like Lionel Messi, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe.

And that led to a call-up from Chilean giants Colo-Colo who have been close to signing him as a free agent following his departure from Chaves in June.

According to journalist Raphael Bozeo, however, Moroccan outfit Berkane are set to hijack the deal.

That is despite the fact Colo-Colo already announced Vozinha‘s arrival at the Monumental last week.

However, the Cape Verde international postponed his arrival in Santiago three different times and thus caused uncertainty about his move.

Vozinha was initially expected to arrive in Chile on Tuesday before the flight was rescheduled for Wednesday.

But plans changed again and the shot-stopper was expected on Thursday but nothing came of it.

And Berkane are now expected to swoop in amid reports suggesting they have also agreed with Vozinha’s Cape Verde manager Bubista to take over as their new head coach.

The same source now claims Vozinha is expecting an official offer from the Moroccans.

This comes after it was revealed the goalie won’t be allowed to don his famous nickname on the back of his shirt with Colo-Colo as per Chilean football rules.

Vozinha, whose birth name is Josimar Jose Evora Dias, will instead have to choose between ‘Evora’, ‘Dias’ or ‘Evora Dias’.
