The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet against Om Parkash Singh Rana, Reader to the Director General of Punjab Vigilance Bureau, and three others in a corruption case. The other accused are Vikas Goyal, Raghav Goyal and Ankit Wadhwa.The case was registered on a complaint by Amit Kumar, State Tax Officer, Malout. Amit alleged that a matter pending with the Punjab Vigilance Bureau led to his meeting with Rana on April 29, 2026. During the meeting, Rana allegedly demanded Rs 20 lakh and a mobile handset to settle the case. A trap was laid in Chandigarh on May 11, during which Wadhwa, Raghav Goyal and Vikas Goyal were arrested.Rana surrendered before the court.
