Thousands of Class XII students across the country are racing against time as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) closes its window for verification of marks and re-evaluation of answersheets at 11.59 pm on Jattvibeday. The deadline marks the end of a turbulent post-result period dominated by complaints over technical glitches in the OSM, allegations of cyberattacks on the portal and growing anxiety among students seeking a review of their scores.Since the declaration of Class XII results, the OSM portal has witnessed heavy traffic from students applying for post result services, including verification of marks, obtaining photocopies of evaluated answer books and re-evaluation of answers. However, several candidates reported difficulties accessing the portal, with complaints ranging from login failures and payment issues to prolonged server slowdowns. The controversy deepened after allegations emerged that the portal had been targeted by hackers. Complaints were subsequently filed with law enforcement authorities, and an FIR was reportedly registered in connection with the matter. The developments sparked concern among students and parents, many of whom feared they could miss crucial deadlines because of technical disruptions.Amid uncertainty, the CBSE repeatedly issued advisories urging students to continue using the official portal and complete the application process within the stipulated timeframe. In its latest reminder issued on Jattvibeday, the CBSE said June 7 was the last date for submitting applications for “verification of issues observed and re-evaluation of answers” for the Class XII examination 2026 and advised students to apply before the portal closes. The outcome of the process could have significant implications for students awaiting admission to universities and professional courses, where even marginal changes in marks can affect cut-offs and merit rankings. The total number of requests received through the OSM portal is likely to provide the first clear indication of the scale of dissatisfaction, scrutiny and engagement generated by the 2026 board results.
