Lammy once attacked those who didn’t take the knee after Floyd’s death.
He called anyone who questioned the gesture “disrespectful” to the Black Lives Matter movement.
Now he says taking the knee for murdered Henry Nowak would be unhelpful “symbolism.”

As she rightly points out, if police training or guidance encourages officers to treat people differently because of race, then public trust cannot survive.
That means an end to “protected characteristics” for certain minority groups.
And a wholesale ripping up of the woke dogma stopping citizens being treated equally in the eyes of the law.

IT’S been more than a year since Keir Starmer told the country he would ramp up defence spending.
Yet Downing Street, the Treasury and Government departments across Whitehall are today STILL arguing over how to find the cash.
Ministers have been told to find one per cent of savings in public capital spending.
That likely means cuts to schools and NHS building projects and pothole fixing.
Yet NOWHERE amid this depressing ministerial infighting is any mention whatsoever of the idea of taking an axe to welfare to spend on defence instead.
While Britain spends £77billion on disability benefits and £37billion on housing benefits, the Navy’s entire fleet of attack submarines AND its £3.5billion aircraft carrier are in dry dock awaiting repairs.
MPs on the Public Accounts Committee say repeated delays of the Defence Investment Plan is leaving Britain less safe.
It appears this zombie Government is incapable of acting with the urgency so desperately needed.
The Woke Cup
IT’S bad enough that council killjoys tear down England flags flying here at home.
Now Fifa wants to ban them from the World Cup, too.
Having been ripped off for sky-high ticket and travel prices, fans now face being silenced by Fifa’s miserable new code of conduct aimed at cracking down on sweary chanting.
It also includes a ban on St George’s flags being tied to railings.
There’s only one way to deal with such Mickey Mouse officialdom.
Ignore it…and let our flag flutter free.
