CHELSEA are set to significantly benefit from Napoli star Romelu Lukaku’s imminent move to Fenerbahce with a massive windfall.

Lukaku, 33, joined the Partenopei from the Blues in 2024 after three years in his second stint at Stamford Bridge that also saw him being loaned out to Inter Milan and Roma.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Fener and the Serie A giants are closing in on a deal for the striker.

The same source claims the Belgium international has agreed in principle to join the Turkish giants.

The ex-Manchester United star has agreed a two-year contract worth £8.6million, including bonuses.

Negotiations between the two clubs are now in their final stages and the transfer is expected to be completed within the next 24 hours.

It is said the deal could cost at least £9-10m, which is what Napoli are demanding to let Lukaku go.

And that is very good new for Chelsea, who added a resale value on the Belgian after selling him to Naples two years ago.

Napoli agreed to pay the West Londoners a 40 per cent sell-on share of any future transfer.

The deal would work as a massive boost for Massimiliano Allegri’s side as that would remove the ex-Everton star’s £9m annual salary from the wage bill.

Lukaku would be joining a star-studded Fenerbahce side that also signed Nathan Ake and Vedat Muriqi this summer.

The ex-West Brom star will also be linking up with the likes of Ederson, Milan Skriniar, Caglar Soyuncu, Mert Muldur, Nelson Semedo, N’Golo Kante, Matteo Guendouzi, Fred, Marco Asensio and Kerem Arkturkoglu.

Lukaku amassed a total of 15 goals and two assists in 59 appearances across both stints at Chelsea.
