COLE PALMER is no stranger to becoming a meme.
But often there is a shroud of mystery surrounding the Chelsea number 10, which is perhaps, in a way, what makes him so loveable.

It’s also part of the reason that when he takes part in a rare sit-down interview, that Chelsea fans grab the popcorn and wait for his unintentional comedic value to kick in.
Palmer has in fact become an internet sensation on so many occasions, that he’s now been made to pick his favourite.

There are so many golden moments to choose from, from ‘Chippy Chips’ to ‘Wot’ to screaming while holding a monkey, but Palmer didn’t choose any of them.
Instead he chose a viral image of him scratching his head, and revealed the true meaning behind it.

“I remember we had an indirect free-kick against Villa, and I was gonna do my own thing.
“Then someone has come up to me and said “aim for the keepers’ legs”, I’m looking at him thinking, bro what?
“That’s what he was saying to me, but then on Instagram they just caption it however they want – that was it though.”

He had another when answering a fan’s dilemma – the dilemma being that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend in a Cole Palmer Chelsea shirt.
The Blues’ playmaker burst out laughing and gave some simple advice: “Don’t do that.”
But he then came round to the idea, adding: “Is he serious? Actually tell him to do it and send me the video.
“I don’t know what their relationship is like, personally if it was my advice I wouldn’t do it.”

He then shared his thoughts on a ‘weird’ proposal he witnessed at a concert: “I was at a D-Block Europe concert once and someone proposed on the stage – it was weird.
“Not weird, if you’re watching – cut that – but it was a bit random. It was mad, he started singing to her on stage, it was mad.”
Palmer, of course, is in a relatively fresh relationship himself with model and influencer Olivia Holder, with the pair being together for just less than a year.
If he ever does pop the question, suspect it will be in some very plain clothing and absolutely not with ‘Overseas ft. Central Cee’ in the background – although perhaps that would be very on brand, followed by an ice cold celebration when she says yes.
