A BELOVED UK kitchen brand is giving away free stock ahead of its “heartbreaking” closure.
The heritage business confirmed it was set to close up shop last month and has now suspended its website.

Bristol Blue Glass announced its permanent closure last month, sharing a statement to confirm it would shut up shop for good on May 31.
The cherished brand, which traded in the heart of Bristol for almost four decades, will say goodbye due to rising business costs, such as rent and fuel, “exacerbated by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East”.
“The challenges stem largely from the government‘s appalling treatment of small businesses, their lack of leadership, and the high tax burden that makes operating a manufacturing business more like an expensive hobby than a sustainable livelihood,” Bristol Blue Glass said in a statement.
“Bristol Blue Glass stands as a testament to the city’s artistic and industrial legacy, and as a heritage business, it’s heartbreaking to have to say goodbye.”

The Bristol Blue Glass website was disabled to allow staff to catch up on an “influx of orders”.
With the brand’s Bath Road shop being packed up ahead of its final closure, Bristol Blue Glass lovers have the opportunity to snap up freebies.
The final day of official trading came to a close on May 23, with a final clearance of the space meaning things are being given away.
Various stock and items from the store are being listed for free on the company’s Facebook page, with just days to go until the doors close forever at the end of the month.
Items like laminated glass sheets, a grand wooden chest and a card display unit from the shop are up for grabs.
The pieces are free to a good home, although takers must be able to collect them.
