She explains she still loves him but she knows how much he’s already put on the line because he tried to frame Gary for killing Theo to save her.

Later, Sarah explains her decision to David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) during a prison visit, admitting she ended things only for Kit’s sake.

Meanwhile, Kit struggles to cope with their split and drowns vodka while admitting Sarah has dumped him to Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances- Brown).

Jodie is quick to notice Kit’s vulnerable state and wastes no time making her move on him.

Kit brushes her off when she first approaches him but Jodie isn’t ready to give up.

Catching up with him again on the street, she tells him there’s nothing worse than a broken heart before offering to buy him a pizza.

It seems Jodie is being kind but viewers know she is shady and always has an ulterior motive in mind.

With Kit emotionally exhausted and struggling to process Sarah’s decision, he could he end up playing straight into her hands.

And is Sarah’s stint in prison setting Tina up for an exit from the soap?
