The Wylie East High School assistant principal was arrested on Tuesday as police learned of the alleged twisted messages.
“The investigation revealed that during conversation, Neu offered to purchase alcohol for the minor and send money for lingerie in exchange for sexual conduct,” the Wylie Police Department said in a statement.
“At this time there are no known additional victims connected to this investigation.
“However, if you or your student have any concerns regarding interactions with Neu, please contact the Wylie Police Department.”
Neu was immediately fired after his arrest, school officials confirmed.
Parents have also been notified of the investigation.
Police have also urged anyone with concerns about interactions with Neu to contact them.
In a letter to Wylie East families, WISD Superintendent Kim Spicer said the allegations are “serious”, Wylie News reported.
“While I am limited in the details I can provide due to the ongoing criminal investigation, I want to be absolutely clear that the allegations are serious and wholly inconsistent with the standards we expect of our employees,” she said.
“Educators hold positions of authority and are entrusted with tremendous responsibility.
“As adults, they are expected to exercise sound judgment and understand that they are responsible for maintaining appropriate boundaries and relationships with students at all times.”
Spicer stressed that district employees should never engage in private communication with a student through personal social media or other unofficial channels.
She added: “Electronic communication between students and staff should occur only through official district platforms, such as district email or Wylie ISD Connect (ParentSquare).
“These rules exist to protect students and staff, maintain transparency, and ensure accountability.”
Neu was hired as a science teacher at the high school in August 2017.
He was promoted to dean of students in July 2024 and then assistant principal this January, the district said.
