World No1 and No2 Luke Littler and Luke Humphries are opting to skip the event as they choose to take a lighter schedule through the darts season.

Nathan Aspinall is the defending champion in Leverkusen – The Asp defeated Damon Heta 8-6 in last year’s final to claim the title.

Welsh star Gerwyn Price is making the trip into continental Europe though, with the Iceman looking for his second win of this year’s campaign after claiming the European Darts Grand Prix in April.

This is the tenth stop on the European Tour calendar this season, with it all culminating in the mammoth finals event in October.
