England were held to a goalless draw by Ghana in a major come-down from the opening-game high.

Harry Kane missed a golden chance late on to snatch all three points on a wet and rainy afternoon.

The Bayern Munich striker blazed over from six yards after Nico O’Reilly’s header hit the bar.

Real Madrid star man Jude Bellingham also cut a frustrated figure – and was involved in a confrontation with the Ghana bench.

England remain top of Group L with one game to go against Panama in New York on Saturday.
