ANDY Burnham unveiled his plans for Britain today and promised to bring about the “biggest change in our lifetimes” – despite not being elected.

The PM-in-waiting promised to overhaul the “broken” Westminster system when he enters No10 in three weeks time following a Labour “coronation”.

He also said he wanted a decade at the top in order to take back public control of utilities as he said the economy hadn’t been built for ordinary people since “the mid 1980s onwards”.

Parts of Downing Street will be moved to Manchester under his plans for a “No10 North”.

Speaking in the city, Mr Burnham said: “The change will be the biggest change in our lifetimes to the way the country is run and it is consistent with the 2024 manifesto.”
