Gyokeres and his team-mates were sent packing when a rampant France sealed a 3-0 win in their last-32 tie on Tuesday.

And the Arsenal favourite has been attempting to get over the heavy defeat by playing golf.

But a video has emerged of Gyokeres being left red-faced after hitting his ball into the WATER with an awful shot.

The Gunners’ £63.5million man was then spotted turning around and laughing in disbelief.

Fans tore into Gyokeres on social media – with some comically claiming he should switch sports.

One said: “He’s better at golf than football.”

Another cruelly added: “Better at golf than he is at staying on his feet in the box.”

A third chimed in: “Surprised he didn’t dive in the water after it.”

And a fourth asked: “Will he leave football and play golf like Gareth Bale?”

Gyokeres started each of Sweden’s World Cup showdowns, notching one goal and two assists along the way.

And he now has a chance to relax after Arsenal decided to keep their pre-season preparations closer to home.

The Gunners’ first friendly will be against Girona on August 1 – just three weeks before their showdown with Coventry on the opening day of the Premier League campaign.
