Sources have revealed bosses are lining up three-time Grammy-winning singer Pink to perform during the ceremony in a deal believed to be worth six figures.
The yet-to-be-announced ceremony is will take place at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, just outside of New York.
A source said: “Bosses want to make sure the World Cup ends in typical American over-the-top style.
“Plans are in the works for a Closing Ceremony which will take place in New York.

“Exact details are still being worked out but Pink has been asked to perform.
“She is set to fly around the stadium on suspended cables like she did at her 2023 Hyde Park show in London.
“The performance is totally separate from the already announced half-time show.”
Last month it was announced that Coldplay frontman Chris Martin would be curating the first-ever FIFA World Cup half-time show.

Madonna will perform during the 11-minute performance alongside K-pop supergroup BTS and Shakira.
Shakira also performed her official World Cup song Dai Dai alongside Nigerian singer Burna Boy, who also features on the track, during the opening game at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, Mexico.
Meanwhile, Katy Perry took to the stage at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles for the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony to perform her 143 album track Wonder alongside 10-year-old Norwegian singer Tiu.
Brazilian singer Anitta, South African singer Tyla and Thailand-born Lisa from K-pop group Blackpink also took to the stage.
