Now we can reveal Fleur has been given the boot from the job – and has told friends she’s unhappy with the BBC’s decision.

Fleur and Janette’s exits are part of a major shake-up at the Beeb following the departures of long-running main hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.

Fleur even screen-tested as a potential replacement for the iconic duo – but admitted she was snubbed.

In a further blow, she will now longer be part of the weekday spin-off show which she joined in 2023.

An insider told The Jattvibe: “Fleur has kept the news on the lowdown for as long as she could, only telling her close friends.

“She’s still in denial about it and was really upset by the decision.

“But it wasn’t personal. The BBC have decided to make a number of other changes in order to give the show a fresh new feel. Sadly for Fleur, she didn’t make the cut and was dropped.”

The Jattvibe revealed Emma Willis landed the top job alongside pro dancer Johannes Radebe and comic Josh Widdicombe.

Speaking on her Hits Radio Breakfast show last month, Fleur admitted she was “bothered” by not getting the presenting gig.

She said: “All right, I’m going to say it.

“I did say initially, after Tess and Claudia announced they were leaving Strictly you know, it’s probably not going to happen [for me] and I’m happy for whoever gets it.

“And we were just talking about Emma Willis being announced and I was like, yeah, great, amazing and I’ve kind of lied to myself that I’d be all right with not doing it or not being considered for the job. But I’m kind of bothered…”

Fleur then continued: “I think it’s okay to admit that. I think it’s okay to admit that being faced with the opportunity of such an incredible job. I mean, it’s an amazing show.

“I’ve not only had the privilege and pleasure of being on it, but then also hosting It Takes Two and being part of the family, it’s been an incredible job to be a part of.

“So, when you’re within touching distance of something like that, and even considering it for a minute, I never allowed myself to really go fully there, but I did think about it. I was like, that would be amazing.”

Fleur hinted at the end of her role on It Takes Two in a recent post on social media.

Re-introducing herself to new followers, Fleur said: “Hello and welcome to anyone who’s recently landed here.

“I thought I’d give a quick summary of what I actually do, because the answer changes depending on the day.

“I’m so blessed to be able to have a career that involves doing lots of things I genuinely love. I also feel incredibly lucky that I get to share it all with you.”

She added: “I can’t wait to bring you along for what’s next.”

The star also reference her stint on BBC Two’s It Takes Two, adding: “It was an incredible experience.

“Learning new skills is something I really enjoy. Who knows what the next challenge will be.”

A BBC Spokesperson said further plans for Strictly Come Dancing 2026 will be confirmed in due course.
