EX-PREMIER League star Ramadan Sobhi has landed a four-year ban from football – after a national court threw out his appeal.
The Egypt winger had top-flight spells with Stoke City and Huddersfield Town between 2016 and 2019.

A £5million Stoke buy from Al Ahly, he scored three goals in 46 Potters appearances before Town paid £5.7m for him in 2018.
Sobhi, 29, is now with Egyptian Premier League leaders Pyramids FC.

But the Court of Arbitration for Sport last November handed the 37-cap international a ban until 2029 for doping violations in 2024.
Sobhi and his legal team appealed against the verdict, taking his case to Switzerland‘s Federal Court.

But the legal body rejected his pleas at a hearing on Jattvibeday, leaving the player suspended from all football activity for the next three years and two months.
Reports in Egypt on Monday claimed Pyramids FC are preparing to terminate the winger’s contract.
The verdict completes a nightmare year for Sobhi, who received a one-year prison term for exam fraud late last December.
He has yet to serve his sentence in an Egyptian jail, which involves hard labour, with his lawyers launching an appeal.

A court in Giza was told he paid another person to sit exams in tourism and hospitality on his behalf at a college in the city.
Sobhi failed to save Huddersfield from relegation in 2020, making just four scoreless appearances for the Terriers.
