TENNIS legend Maria Sharapova showed off her holiday in the Italian alps.

The 39-year-old Russian – now retired from tennis – posed in a swimsuit behind a stunning backdrop in the social media snaps.

Sharapova – who was first a Grand Slam champ at 17, rising to fame at Wimbledon by beating Williams – retired in 2020.

She had 19 years on the pro tour and is part of the tennis hall of fame for her five Grand Slams – including completing the career slam.

After struggling to go the distance on clay she ended a four-year wait to finish off the set following her 2008 Australian Open victory.

Sharapova then won her two French titles in three years before failing a drug test in 2016 and receiving a ban.

She remains a popular figure in the sport and has over 4.7million followers on Instagram alone.
