LAST week we told you about a car with a pop-up cinema screen.

This week we have got a supermini with onboard karaoke and arcade games. I know. I’ve still got a box of mixtapes in my garage.

This is Geely EX2. Lots of tech. Lots of really useful storage. Lots of pink blush.

Just don’t add Cyndi Lauper’s I Drove All Night to your playlist. Because it won’t. It’ll do 190-200 miles max.

Thank you!

But as a second car? Or a karaoke booth? You’re Golden (Harry Styles).OK, I’ll stop now.

EX2 is a titchy 4.1 metres long, so it’s easy to drive and park.

Acceleration and braking is smooth and nicely calibrated, so nothing surprises you.

All you need, then? Almost. The speedo is badly positioned on the left of the driver’s cluster — and obscured by your left hand on the tiller.

Duh. It needs to be double the size and centred, like in a Honda Jazz.

I’m sure that can be fixed with a software update.

Now for some more positives.

Big door pockets. Sliding-drawer glovebox. You can store a handbag under the centre console and hide two rucksacks under the rear seats.

Gangly teens will be happy in the back. There’s plenty of room for their head and feet.

You can’t say that about a Renault 5, as gorgeous as it is.

The boot is more than adequate at 375 litres — similar to a Golf — and there’s a 70-litre frunk (front trunk) for storing charging cables and dirty wellies.

Proper little Tardis. You can’t do karaoke on the big central screen while driving, obviously. And my microphone is just a prop.

But you do get an impressive catalogue of hits “as performed by” on the Karafan app with backing singers and line-by-line lyrics.
