It was a result and performance that Potter will not forget in a hurry.
Though the celebrations that followed the final whistle could have left him with a permanent reminder of the big night on his right lug.
And, just like the Tunisian defence were trying to stop ruthless Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres, the Sweden boss was left completely perplexed about his war wound.
Potter arrived for his post-match media duties with blood still visible on his ear.

And he joked that he will be scouring through video evidence to find the culprit.
He said: “I don’t know what happened.
“Someone scratched me, or bit me. I’ll have to analyse the video footage.”
The wild celebrations made perfect sense, as Sweden put on a merciless beating, securing their second-largest World Cup win in history with a 5–1 demolition.
