A HEATED Rivalry star has found himself in hot water after accidentally letting slip “spoilers” about the upcoming second season.
Dylan Walsh, who plays David Hollander in the steamy ice hockey romance show, has been forced to freeze his account on Cameo – a pay-by-video service for fans – after he seemed to give away some unintended details about the anticipated new episodes.

Speaking to a fan, Dylan, who has also starred in Nip/Tuck and Superman & Lois, said in their personalised video: “Getting ready to go back up to Canada and shoot some more episodes. I think we’re doing 12 this time.”
Walsh has since apologised for the slip, saying in a statement to Variety: “I was speaking off the cuff in a Cameo and should not have speculated about the production schedule or episode count.

“I don’t have any official information to announce, and I’m sorry for creating confusion for the production and the fans.
“My Cameo account is paused for now. I’m incredibly grateful for the enthusiasm surrounding Heated Rivalry and proud to be part of the series.”

In a post on his Cameo account, which has since been deleted, he added: “Stepping away because a video went viral that got me in trouble.”
While the comment seemed harmless enough, it sent a buzz to fans worldwide, who started speculating what it could mean as the first season was only six episodes in length.

Theories include the Canadian series, which airs on Sky Atlantic in the UK, could either be doubling their episode count for the upcoming season, or filming seasons two and three back-to-back.
Heated Rivalry is based off the Game Changers book series by Rachel Reid, and tells a series of queer love stories based within the world of professional hockey players.
Season one followed the rivals-to-lovers story of Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) and Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) as they tried to hide their romance from both the public eye and their team mates for fear of judgement.
The first series became an international phenomenon, and shot its lead actors Williams and Storrie to fame overnight.
Crave, who created the show in Canada, quickly confirmed plans for seasons two and three as a result.
Season 2, which will be based on book installment The Long Game, will continue Shane and Ilya’s story while introducing new characters and romances.
Production officially commenced this month, with Crave confirming Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie will be joining the show as Harris Drover and Troy Barrett – the key love story central to Role Model, another story in the book collection.
On Thursday, more names were confirmed, with Schitt’s Creek’s Emily Hampshire joining as Vanessa, The Young Royals’ Edvin Ryding as Luca Haas, and RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Priyanka as Tarek.
Completing the new additions so far are Robert Naylor as Wyatt Hayes and Sabrina Jalees as Farah Jalali.
Heated Rivalry season 2 is slated for release on Sky in Spring 2027.
