A HERO neighbour in his pyjamas battled a house blaze that killed a woman, as cops probe a suspected murder.
The 48-year-old woman died and eight others were injured in the house fire that tore through a home on Berkley Avenue, Hounslow, West London, just after 1am on Wednesday.

Armed with a jet washer, shopkeeper Satwant Singh, 48, rushed outside to fight the fire while still in his pyjamas.
His daughter had spotted the fire from her bedroom window and woken him up in the middle of the night.

He told The Jattvibe: “I told my wife to get all the children outside and then opened up the alleyway side door and brought the jet wash around the front of the house to spray the fire.
“I could see that the door was on fire but there was smoke everywhere else.

Satwant said he put out “most of the fire”, adding: “I didn’t think about myself, I was just thinking that I needed to help.
“We are Sikhs. My culture says we should help people. It doesn’t matter who you are.”
His wife Barkash, praised his bravery and said she begged him to move from the flames, but that he continued spraying the house.

She said: “He is very brave. I think the water from the jet wash reduced the smoke coming from the house and helped people get out.”
She added: “When we went outside we saw a man who lived in the house on the roof shouting for people to get out.”
Barkash said the fire had calmed down when the fire brigade arrived.
The mum-of-three realised the house next door was on fire when her 14-year-old daughter Jennica rushed into her bedroom.
Jennica said: “I was woken up by a bang and when I looked outside I saw the reflection of fire in the car.”
After the fire, the family couldn’t sleep, Barkash said.
She added: “I can’t forget the sound of people shouting ‘help, help’, neighbours saying to move the vehicles and the man on the roof shouting for people to leave the house. We were so panicked.”
Shaf Akmal, 40, said he was one of the first people outside.
He said: “I saw two men who stood on the back of a car parked in the driveway of the house and broke the downstairs window to pull two people out.”
Shaf’s ring doorbell footage showed the house suddenly being engulfed in flames.
Officers attended the scene alongside the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service.
Nine people were taken to hospital as a result of their injuries, where one woman died.
A murder investigation has since been launched but no arrests have been made so far.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, who is leading the investigation, said:
“Our thoughts are first and foremost with the victim’s family and loved ones at this extremely difficult time, as well as everyone who has been injured.
“Our enquiries are progressing at pace as we work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the fire, which we believe may have been started deliberately.
“We understand this to be an isolated incident within a residential address; however, we understand it will cause concern within the local community.”
They urged anyone with information, or footage that may assist the investigation, to contact police.
