WHILE the record-breaking weather this summer has been great for my social life, it hasn’t been so good for my hair.

The sun, chlorine and frequent styling has left my locks crying out for some TLC, but there’s two products I can always rely on to bring my hair back to life.

Color Wow’s viral mask leaves my hair soft and shiny

Color Wow Money Masque, £36.41 (was £39.50)

I’ve tested my fair share of products as a beauty writer, but Color Wow’s Money Masque is one of the few things I’d recommend to every single one of my friends.

Thank you!

It’s a deep-conditioning mask that only needs to be left on for three to five minutes after shampooing for a smooth, glossy finish.

Every time I use it (usually once a week) my hair feels so much softer, and it’s great for getting rid of tangles caused by chlorine.

I’ll sometimes use it as a conditioner (if I don’t have time to let it sit for five minutes), focusing on my ends as that’s where my hair suffers the most.

My hair always needs extra TLC at the end of summer

One of my favourite things about the haircare buy is the scent.

So many products smell amazing when you first wash your hair, but fade away fast after heat styling.

Money Masque‘s fresh, luxurious scent lingers even the day after washing and styling (which is hard to find in a product).

It’s not the cheapest (although it’s currently on sale) but the huge 215ml tub lasts for months.

My other haircare essential is a cult favourite, and for good reason.

K18’s Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask is one of the top-rated products for repairing damage.

K18 is the top product I swear by for improving damage

K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Leave-in Molecular Repair Hair Mask, £30

I always purchase the smaller 15ml bottle, as a little really does go a long way.

Bleaching, wearing extensions and using hot tools means breakage is a common occurrence for me.

I apply K18’s treatment once a week after washing my hair, focusing particularly on the front section (as that’s where I have the most damage).

It only needs four minutes to work it’s magic, before I apply my other products and style it.

I don’t use the product on my extensions, but when I’ve removed them in the past, K18 was the saving grace for getting my hair back to a healthy condition.

The leave-in mask uses a patented peptide to reconnect the protein chains, restoring and strengthening the hair without leaving a greasy finish.

While Color Wow’s wash-out mask is great for all hair types, K18’s mask is catered towards damaged hair.

I rotate between the two products (using each once a week, on different days), and I swear by both of them for maintaining healthy locks.

Fabulous’ Tara Ledden also tested three more hair masks for repairing damage, with prices from £15.
