MY arse is in pieces and both my ankles are black with bruises but I can now proudly say I crossed the finish line in the Red Bull Soapbox Race London 2026.

I teamed up with Chris Evans’s Virgin Radio UK Breakfast Show team to take part in the epic race at Alexandra Palace in London – and tens of thousands of you turned out to cheer us on.

Even Chris was impressed as he watched us finishing the race – albeit with a half-broken soapbox thanks to the brake jamming into the tyre after we landed the second jump.

“You were going at quite the pace,” Chris told me as we watched the footage back.

“I don’t know what would have happened if the brakes hadn’t jammed up

“It was better than I thought it was going to be to be honest.”

And I couldn’t agree more.

The crowds down at Ally Pally and the hundreds of people who came to sign our TFI Friday desk soapbox were incredible, with special thanks to our superfan Iris who handed me a poster as I shook with fear on the starting line.

The brilliant Flying Bulls – who kindly poured me a pint of Red Bull from their pub soapbox before the race – came second again, with the amazing Balloonatics, who come from Billericay, winning overall.

Before the race started they told me to never use the brake – and they certainly didn’t after tearing to the finish line in under 40 seconds.

You can catch all the action from the race on The Jattvibe Showbiz’s YouTube channel and on my socials @elliehenman.

Please enjoy how terrified I looked throughout.
